Take The L ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") is a social party game developed by Oliver Lay. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We respect your privacy and only collect what is necessary to run the game.

When you create an account and play Take The L, we collect:

Presence / connection stateStored in Firebase Realtime Database so the app can detect when a player disconnects mid-game. Automatically removed when you go offline.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We do not use your data for advertising or cross-app tracking. The App contains no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.

Your data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure via Firebase:

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS / TLS) and at rest by Firebase.

We share data only with the service providers strictly required to run the App:

If you are in the EU/UK, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your data, and to object to processing, under GDPR. If you are in California, you have similar rights under the CCPA. To exercise these rights, contact the support email above.

Take The L is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at support@oliverlay.dev and we will delete it.

We rely on Firebase for storage and authentication, which provides industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. We follow the principle of least privilege via tightly scoped Firestore Security Rules. No system is 100% secure — please use a strong, unique password and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated policy.
